However, many business owners who generate less in revenue have a harder time comfortably affording our fee. Also, many businesses that generate more than $5M/year are better able to hire a full-time CFO. 

  • Does your firm provide bookkeeping or tax preparation services?

    No, our firm does not perform bookkeeping or tax preparation services. As advisors, we'll review your books and tax filings to guide our recommendations and help you reach your business goals. We'll also help you get the right bookkeepers/CPAs on your team if you're currently being under-served in those areas.

  • How are your services different from bookkeeping, tax preparation or a CPA firm?

    Bookkeepers, tax professionals, and CPAs are all essential members of a business owner's team. What makes us different is that our services are forward-looking. We use your finances and your goals to help you make strategic decisions to grow your company. We help you to be more profitable and to reach your definition of business success, using your finances as a major tool. 


    Most bookkeeping/tax prep/CPA firms are more backward-facing, meaning they'll prepare last year's taxes or last month's books. While this function is important, even for us, rarely do they proactively help you grow your business.

  • What is Profit First?

    Profit First is a cash flow management system that helps business owners to be able to:

    • Become more profitable by setting aside their profit before spending on expenses
    • Pay themselves consistently
    • Proactively set aside for taxes
    • Control business spending
    • Know the cash position of your business simply by reviewing your bank account balances

    Profit First implemetation is included as a part of our CFO services, but is not mandatory for those who hsvrn't fully bought into the system.

    We primarily work with consultants, coaches, and real estate investors. But we work with various service-based business owners, like salon owners, estheticians, dog trainers, gym owners and others. We can work with most businesses. We also refer out to other CFOs if your business isn't the best fit for our firm.

  • What is a Right Fit meeting?

    A Right Fit meeting is a brief conversation to determine if we're the right consultant to help you grow your business. If we are a good fit for each other, we'll work together. And if we're not a good fit, we'll try to refer you to someone who is.
